Terms of Service

1. The Service

MyBookPage is a website builder that creates AI-designed landing pages for authors. We provide page generation, hosting, custom domain support, and analytics as part of our subscription plans. Our Custom plan includes a hand-built multi-page website with ongoing hosting and maintenance.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating your account. One account per person.

3. Content Ownership

You retain full ownership of all content you provide (book details, bios, photos, social links). You grant MyBookPage a license to host, display, and serve this content as part of your published author page. The generated page designs are owned by MyBookPage but licensed to you for the duration of your subscription.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

• Starter and Pro plans: Billed monthly or yearly. You can cancel anytime. When you cancel, your page stays live until the end of the billing period, then is unpublished.
• Custom plan: Includes a one-time setup fee and a monthly hosting fee. The setup fee is non-refundable once work has begun.
• Free tier: Includes one AI generation. Publishing requires a paid plan.

5. Refunds

Starter and Pro subscriptions can be cancelled anytime. We offer refunds within 14 days of your first subscription payment if you have not published your page. Custom plan setup fees are non-refundable once design work has started.

6. Acceptable Use

You may not use MyBookPage to:

• Host content that is illegal, defamatory, or infringes on others' rights
• Publish pages for products or services unrelated to books and authorship
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits or abuse the AI generation system
• Resell or redistribute the service

7. AI-Generated Content

Page designs are generated using AI (Anthropic's Claude). While we strive for quality, AI-generated designs may occasionally contain imperfections. You can regenerate designs and edit them using the AI chat feature. We are not liable for the aesthetic quality of AI-generated pages.

8. Availability and Hosting

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. We are not liable for temporary outages, maintenance windows, or issues caused by third-party services (Stripe, Supabase, DNS providers). We reserve the right to modify the platform with reasonable notice.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyBookPage shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits arising from your use of the service.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time, which will unpublish your page and schedule your data for deletion.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify you of significant changes by email.
